My Mission

Good health is more than just an absence of symptoms, it is having the energy to pursue our dreams and our desires.  For some, it starts with healing from the past and healing old traumas, freeing up this biological energy once restricted in the mind and body for everyday use and new ways of being in the world.  For many (if not most people today), it involves recovering lost energy levels from illness, feeling overwhelmed, over-taxed or from not living in alignment with who they are deep inside.  We need energy to live our lives more fully, presently and to create a life that is aligned with who we are as individuals.  

My mission is to support individuals on their unique pathway to greater health by educating, empowering and guiding them in their health pursuits.  Through the use of Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis, my foundation in Heilkunst and my manual therapy skills, I offer a complementary approach to address physical and emotional trauma, stress & energy recovery along with nutrient excess and deficiencies to support you in achieving your health goals.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) for Restoring Energy and Health

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis is an analytical test that reflects the mineral composition of the hair (Trace Elements Inc, 2011).  Utilizing HTMA in my practice with my clients gives a nice advantage for both of us.  I am able to make much more accurate supplement and dietary recommendations, these being based on your own unique needs as reflected in your current mineral patterns.  You, the client, can feel much more empowered with the the recommendations, making it a much more conscious process knowing that the supplements and measures you are taking are unique and specific to what your body needs right now as evidenced in the objective test.

"Hair is used for mineral testing because of its very nature. Hair is formed from clusters of specialized cells that make up the hair follicle. During the growth phase the hair is exposed to the internal environment such as blood, lymph and extra-cellular fluids. As the hair continues to grow and reaches the surface of the skin its outer layers harden, locking in the metabolic products accumulated during the period of formation. This biological process provides a blueprint and lasting record of mineral status and nutritional metabolic activity that has occurred during this time" (Trace Elements, Inc 2000-2016).  

There are key mineral ratios and their relationships to one another that we will be looking for in the test, each ratio providing valuable information.  

So what are some benefits for health when we apply this knowledge and give the body what it needs to rebalance its mineral patterns?  This can bolster energy production in the cells, help you to have more resilience with stress, build your energy reserves, support the immune system, nerve conduction, muscular activity, DNA function as well as address inflammation in the body (Trace Elements, Inc).  As the body is given what it needs to restore its energy and when it needs it, detoxification of heavy metals and other toxic elements occurs when the body has enough reserve energy and a foundation of health built to release the toxins.  Detoxification is necessary in our ever increasing toxic world but it behooves us to ensure that we have the requisite foundation of health achieved so the body, in its wisdom, can deal with toxicity in "layers" as it is ready to.  

A HTMA provides an overall reflection of the biochemical mineral levels at the physical level and it also provides a reflection of the mental and emotional processes as evidenced by the mineral patterning.
